It was a labor of love when the opportunity to restore the 1899 Antique Carriage House of the Windover Estate in Ridgefield, CT presented itself in 2003. It took nearly two and a half years and over a million dollars to restore and renovate 192 West Lane, Life Magazine founder, John Ames Mitchell's, original carriage house.

The owners strove for authenticity while creating a home that was both luxurious and modern. The main living space is spectacular complete with a double fireplace and hearth, wide paneled original flooring, and stunning barn doors on either side of the space. The grounds, which include an in-ground pool, gardens and a potting studio create a private, peaceful retreat. A truly magnificent and one of a kind home!
